Experiencing a spiritual awakening is a journey. It gradually unfolds as you start to recognize what’s beyond the limitations of a person’s ego. And it is believed that your Spirit coexists with your ego. This means that your learnings and interactions through the years, all affect your spiritual life. Your Spirit can be trapped as the ego takes over.

Spiritual Awakening: The Introduction

Spiritual awakening is not all about religion or spirituality. This happens when you return to the Original Spirit. This is not driven by basic human needs, like self-preservation. Instead, it is accepting, calm, and flexible. You unfold your ego until the Original Spirit remains. For a lot of people, spiritual awakening feels like you start to have a realization of what’s beyond your ego.

Stages of Spiritual Awakening

Spiritual awakening happens in stages. You can read more from Infinite Inspirit. In addition, to better understand your journey take a look at the different stages that you might be going through right now.

  • The Initiation. This is the start of the spiritual awakening. This involves having a sense of inner battle. You become more aware of the ego and how it destroys you. This stage may leave you broken as it takes you away from what you are used to.
  • The Query. You are at the stage in your life where the inner turmoil is too much for you to handle. You realize that the only solution is to find answers. You are now filled with questions.
  • The Quest. This starts your journey in seeking answers. You begin to look deeper from within and away from what’s superficial. For some, they start to become more spiritual and religious. You strive to become the person who is ready to find the true meaning of life.
  • The Interrogation. This is the stage where you integrate the ‘new’ to the ‘old’ you. This can be a painful and destructive journey. You must make two sides co-exist. Setting the negative experiences aside, you start to progress every day.
  • Spiritual Alignment. Your goal is to align yourself and the universe. This is also called the state of ‘nirvana.’ This is the end of letting your ego and personal suffering take over.

This can be a lifelong journey. You may feel some ups and downs, but keep your focus on the goal. You must find peace, calm, and quiet. The process can be destructive but try to understand why you have to go through all this.
